Kabuni today announced onboarding one of India’s most dynamic batting talents, Shreyas Iyer, as Super Coach.
Iyer joins a growing roster of legendary Kabuni Super Coaches that includes Sourav Ganguly, Shane Watson, and AB de Villiers – all four will appear at Kabuni Playtime 2026 on June 7th in Mumbai where Kabuni formally unveils its platform and opportunities for schools, parents and aspiring cricketers in India.
Technology-Led Coaching for Young Players
Kabuni combines AI, biomechanics, motion tracking, and performance data to deliver personalised coaching feedback in real time. The platform is designed to convert player movement and ball-tracking data into simple, actionable insights, supported by voice, video, and visual feedback tools.
Built around a “1% improvement” philosophy, the system focuses on small technical adjustments and repeatable gains over time, particularly for younger players still developing their game.
Kabuni Playtime 2026 will introduce Kabuni’s “Want to Play for a Legend?” tournament launching later this year, where players aged 12 to 16 will compete for the chance to represent teams associated with cricketing icons.
One of India’s key White-Ball Batters
For Kabuni, Iyer brings one of India’s most explosive middle-order batters into its coaching ecosystem.
Since making his international debut in 2017, Iyer has established himself across formats with more than 5,000 international runs for India. He was also part of India’s 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup campaign, finishing among the tournament’s leading run-scorers with 530 runs, including two centuries.
Known for his attacking approach against spin and his ability to accelerate through the middle overs, Iyer has become one of the defining batters of India’s white-ball setup in recent years.
Speaking about the partnership, Iyer said:
Kabuni’s Wider Vision
Kabuni Founder and CEO Nimesh Patel said Iyer reflected the type of modern cricketer the platform wants young players to learn from.
Kabuni’s wider aim is to democratise cricket coaching by building a technology-led cricket development ecosystem that connects grassroots participation with elite-level learning and performance analysis.
