← ABOUT KABUNI
HELD UNTIL THE DAY IT IS TRUE
The resignation letter, written in advance.
Our founder wrote this before the moment it describes had happened, so that everyone who builds Kabuni knows exactly what finishing looks like. It is dated, signed, and waiting.
27 JANUARY 2026
To the Board of Directors of Kabuni,
Today, an athlete stood on the world stage holding an Olympic medal.
During the post-medal interview, they were asked where their journey began.
They answered:
“My journey started at my school on Kabuni.”
With those words, my mission as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kabuni is complete.
I wrote this letter before that moment happened because I wanted the board, our team, our investors, our schools, our partners and my family to understand exactly what success would ultimately mean to me.
From the beginning, Kabuni was never built simply to create technology, leagues, hardware or commercial success.
It was built to create opportunity. The idea was seeded in 2017 with my why — to unlock the design potential in every human being and elevate life. That was refined, after a number of pivots, to unlock your true sporting potential.
With a mission to give every young athlete, regardless of geography, wealth, gender or access, the chance to be seen, measured, coached and believed in.
Today proved that mission is real.
That athlete may be the first, but they will not be the last.
Behind that one medal stand millions of young people who can now believe that their own journey is possible.
That was always the true purpose of Kabuni.
We set out to build more than a company.
We built a system designed to unlock true sporting potential at scale.
A platform capable of balancing screen time with playtime.
A platform that could turn real-world movement into measurable progress, opportunity, confidence, health and purpose.
A platform built around one promise:
Unlock your true sporting potential.
A platform that could begin inside a school and one day lead an athlete to the greatest stage in world sport.
The greatest validation of Kabuni was never going to be its valuation, revenue, market share or headlines.
It was always going to be this moment.
A young athlete standing on the world’s biggest stage and saying:
“My journey started at my school on Kabuni.”
Those words mean Kabuni no longer needs me as its Chief Executive Officer in the way it once did.
The mission has escaped the company and entered the world.
It now belongs to the next generation of athletes, coaches, teachers, schools and leaders who will take it further than I ever could.
I therefore submit my resignation as Chief Executive Officer of Kabuni, effective in accordance with the terms agreed with the board.
I will remain Kabuni’s founder, its greatest supporter and a lifelong believer in the mission we created together. However, the time will have come for new leadership to take responsibility for the next chapter.
I leave the role with complete gratitude.
THANK YOU
THE BOARD AND OUR INVESTORSfor backing a vision that once sounded impossible.
OUR EMPLOYEESfor turning imagination into reality.
OUR PARTNERS AND SCHOOLSfor opening your doors and believing that a child’s journey could begin inside your community.
THE TEACHERS AND COACHESfor seeing potential before the world could see it.
EVERY PARENT AND FAMILYfor trusting us with the dreams of your children.
EVERY ATHLETE ON KABUNIfor allowing us to become part of your journey.
Together, we proved something I have always believed:
Talent is everywhere.
Opportunity is not.
Kabuni gave young people the chance to be seen, believed in and to unlock their true sporting potential.
Kabuni changed that.
Thank you for trusting me to build it.
